Key Stage 1: Building Foundations for Lifelong Learning.

Key Stage 1 (KS1) is a vital component of the educational system in England. It targets the developmental needs of children aged 5 to 7. This stage encompasses Year 1 and Year 2 of primary education, laying the groundwork for academic success and lifelong learning.

Assessment in Key Stage 1:
• Year 1: The Phonics Screening Check assesses children's ability to read words using phonics.
• Year 2: Students take the KS1 SATs in reading and mathematics.

Components of SATs KS1:
• English: Reading Test Grammar, Punctuation, and Spelling (GPS) Test.

When Are the KS1 SATs Conducted?
